Craig Clifford

Transformation -making common objects more than they are.
excessive decoration, colour and humour
embellishment and colour-decorative sculptures
renders object unusable
idealized kitsch imagery of knick knack objects
this way of work brings objects once used as a symbol of wealth down to the level of mass culture.
brings viewer into a world that seems somehow familiar  and strange at the same time.

i enjoy his use of colour, the colour is bold and in your face but it draws the viewers attention.
in my opinion its a reminder of alice in wonderland as it has the same style..its a narrative piece very playful and exotic and imaginative.

  1. Hi Emma,
Your blog looks good. Your best post was your first. You seem to have stopped referring others in the class to your artists and to comment on them yourself. I think there are a few that should be inspirational to you so write your own thoughts too.
    Good work.
    Claire
